Champagne, Cappuccino & Chocolate (Chapter 1 of 7)

The party where my next chapter began.

Turning 48 was no small moment for Hanneke. After a life-altering skiing accident, seven years of soul-searching and two deeply personal books, it was time to celebrate herself, Hanneke 2.0 had emerged stronger, softer and more in balance. Sixty inspiring women gathered at precisely 11:11 AM (not by coincidence) for a joyful morning of chocolate, champagne and cappuccinos. The guest list read like a who’s who of her life’s journey: her vibrant 90-year-old mother, lifelong friends, colleagues, neighbours and newfound spiritual sisters.

It wasn’t just a party – it was a marker in time. A line in the sand. A declaration: “I’m not here to be average. I’m here to be awesome.”

She had let go of chasing perfection, of running herself into the ground. She had found her flow … or so she thought.

This joyful moment marked the end of one rollercoaster… and the quiet beginning of the next.
